Call for Papers

The ambition of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from many different disciplines to share ideas and methods on current multimedia/multimodal content analysis research in sports. We welcome multimodal-based research contributions as well as best-practice contributions focusing on the following (and similar, but not limited to) topics:

Submission

OpenReview website: https://openreview.net/group?id=acmmm.org/ACMMM/2025/Workshop/MMSports

Workshop paper submission:: July 16, 2025

Workshop paper notification:: July 24, 2025

Workshop paper camera-ready:: August 26, 2025

Please refer to the main conference site for submission policies on blinding, originality, author lists and ArXiv publications.

Note: We prefer double-blind submissions to the workshop. But this is not enforced for the workshop. Thus, if double-blind submission is not possible, then this is fine, too.

Paper length: The same format & template as the main conference. Submissions can be of varying length from 6 to 8 pages, plus up to two pages for the references. There is no distinction between long and short papers, but the authors may themselves decide on the appropriate length of their paper. All papers will undergo the same review process with the same review period.

Publication

The accepted workshop papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. The official publication date is the date the proceedings are made available in the ACM Digital Library. This date may be up to two weeks prior to the first day of the conference. The official publication date affects the deadline for any patent filings related to the published work.
